PART II. SIMON PETER BETRAYS JESUS! THE EVIDENCE!!!:

THE BETRAYER: THE EVIDENCE!!

We have learned so much in the last chapter about the real Jesus and about the true character nature of Simon Peter. Now if you haven't read Part I. of this blog, then you need to go back and click on the link below of this blog and read:
"Simon Peter: The True Betrayer of Jesus."

Now if you have read the verses that we have discussed in the previous chapters then I’m sure your spirit is now on fire for more knowledge. So let’s see if we can quench your spiritual thirst for knowledge…

Now can Simon Peter possibly be the true betrayer of Jesus instead of Judas? I do believe so.

Now I want you to remember something.

The gospels that we have in our bibles have the total approval of Rome and the Roman Empire.

Since they consider Peter as their first Pope you know that there was no way they would allow these facts into the bible which contradicts their satanic beliefs!

However, Jesus was able to still leave us enough clues to find out the truth.

Let’s move to the Passover Meal better known as the “Last Supper.

Now to those of you who have studied the four gospels. You will notice how many contradictions there are concerning the hour when Jesus was betrayed and when this meal actually took place. But let's pretend we are not aware of these contradictions for a moment and get right into Jesus' torment and shocking statement during the meal to his disciples:

  • JOHN 13:21 After he had said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified, “Very truly I tell you, one of you is going to betray me.”

If Jesus was supposed to die like Christianity claims and he is also an alleged God? then I have a question:

Why is the thought of someone betraying him trouble his spirit so? I mean come on? If he already knew he was supposed to die there would be no reason to be troubled by a betrayer right? This would be a cause for celebration right?

I guess not huh? Let's move on.. Matthew also repeats this story:
  • And as they did eat, he said, verily I say unto you, that (ONE) of you shall betray me. And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I? And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. MATTHEW 26:21-23
Okay wait one minute!

Jesus makes a statement that someone in that very room is going to betray him and  yet

No senate investigation?

No Hebrew Sherlock Holmes investigators?

What? Inquiring minds don't want to know? Nothing?

So everyone in the room just sits there and says "OH WELL?"

Are you kidding me?

Now Jesus says that the ONE who shares the same dish with Him is the same person who will betray Him.

We have been told that the person that shared the dish Jesus was Judas Iscariot. I do not believe that is the truth. Now ask yourself:

Which of the Disciples would actually share the same Dish with Jesus?”

Let’s use the power of deduction

We can come to the conclusion that with a minimum of thirteen people, including Jesus, eating the Passover meal, there could be no more than FOUR people per dish for Jesus to make such a statement.

So if we think about Jesus is one

Who were the closest THREE Disciples that would share the same Dish with Jesus?

We can see that it is:

PETER, JAMES and JOHN

These are the same three that He took with Him to pray.

These are the three that would be the closest to Jesus around the table and not Judas

These are also the three men who would know every move Jesus made and every place that He was scheduled to visit.

Judas and the other Disciples would not necessarily have access to all of this information.

If there was really someone actually going to betray Jesus,

It would have to been one of these three men, and not Judas!

I believe this man was Simon Peter. I also believe that the false writers of SATAN replaced Peter's, name, who Jesus told us desired ONLY the THINGS of MAN and not GOD, in used Judas as the scapegoat!

Now I know some of you are thinking. I am off my rocker with madness right? I do understand. However, you have to admit Judas controlled the books, the money, the food the resources already right. So thirty insignificant cheap pieces of silver would mean nothing to a man who already had everything!

Now Peter on the other hand had absolutely nothing! He was a poor fisherman that had a wife and family to support. Since Jesus told us that Simon wanted the desires of men. It makes clear sense that

SIMON PETER: had the most to gain from betraying Jesus.

Now let me show you something very compelling that shows you why Simon is the culprit here.

The book of John is the most "coded" book there is in the bible.

It is my assertion that the church changed the name of Simon with that of Judas to deceive us. Let's see why:

A SHOCKER!

YES Jesus and Judas were making plans to escape! Sounds far fetched? Let's see what the bible secretly says about Jesus' true plans!

Now to prove that Jesus was planning to escape. We have to go back to his statement that someone was going to betray him in the book of John.

Now we notice that John doesn't mention that any of the other disciples even question Jesus about such a major announcement such as this right? However only ONE disciple is said to be curious about who Jesus' betrayer is. Let's see:

  • JOHN 13:22His disciples stared at one another, at a loss to know which of them he meant. 23One of them, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was LAYING on Jesus' bosom . 24Simon Peter motioned to this disciple and said, “Ask him which one he means.”
Now from the above verse what have you uncovered?

  1. Only Simon wanted to know who the betrayer was.
  2. There was a disciple that was LAYING lovingly on Jesus' chest.
  3. Simon was too afraid to ask Jesus what he already knew
  4. Simon asked this unmentioned disciple that Jesus loved to find out who Jesus was talking about!

Now according to John. Jesus actually told this LOVED Disciple who the betrayer was!
  • JOHN 13:25 Leaning back against Jesus, he asked him, “Lord, who is it?”
So what was Jesus' response to this disciple that Jesus loved so much hmm? Let's see:
  • JOHN 13:26 Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish.”
Okay let's stop right here for a moment. Now as we see, Jesus did tell this disciple who the betrayer was. Now like we said before. If someone told you that someone was going to kill someone you cared about wouldn't you want to know the truth? Yes you would and SO WOULD I!

So since the scriptures are quiet on at least that part concerning the other disciples. We see that at least three people know the truth. Jesus, Judas, and that person that was allowed to lay lovingly in Jesus' actual chest.
( Now you guys know where I'm going with this laying in the chest thing right?) More on that in a later chapter.)

So folks notice after Simon makes wanted to find out who Jesus was talking about. John the writer immediately switches the conversation to how Simon denies Jesus. Now isn't that sort of odd to you?

I mean, from someone is going to betray me, to now someone is going to DENY ME?

Don't you find that rather odd folks when we look at this with fresh eyes?

Now before we go on. Let's go back to the scripture where Judas is concerned:

  • John 13:27: So Jesus told him, What you are about to do, do quickly. 28But no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him. 29Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the festival, or to give something to the poor. 30As soon as Judas had taken the bread, he went out. And it was night.
So notice Jesus gives Judas a commandment to go out and do something quickly. Secondly notice that neither the writer of this gospel nor the other disciples knew anything about Judas betraying Jesus.

This is my point folks! As you see, Jesus didn't ask Judas to leave the money bags. No! Jesus sent Judas on a task folks!

Again notice that Judas already had the money bag so a few measly scraps of silver would be of no importance to him!

This is where I am asserting that Jesus and Judas were making plans for their escape from Peter and the Soldiers!

Now let's continue on what happens next after Judas leaves:

  • John 13:33 “My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come.
Okay, so Jesus is going somewhere. Let's continue to see what's next?

  • JOHN 13:36 Simon Peter asked him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus replied, “Where I am going, you cannot follow now, but you (SIMON) will follow later.”
 THIS VERSE IS KEY

So after Jesus says he is leaving Simon wants to know where Jesus is going. Now Christians will naturally assume Jesus is talking about dying on the cross. However, that is not what Jesus is saying here folks. Look at the KEY WORDS he says to Simon:

...Jesus replied, “Where I am going, you cannot follow now, but you (SIMON) will follow later.”

So is Jesus saying Simon will follow Jesus to the cross or is he really saying:
"WHERE I GO, SIMON, YOU and the others enemies of God will PURSUE ME AND HUNT ME DOWN LATER!" WOW!

Now again, I told you that the true writer of John is writing in code so that the Greco-Roman church will not erase this truth out of the bible.

So after this statement from Jesus. Look at what Simon says next which is key again!

  • JOHN 13:37 Peter asked, “Lord, why can’t I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.”

Now did you see it? Notice Simon knows something is fishy here! Jesus is trying to escape! Notice we are told that Simon was allegedly with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane before his capture right? But according to this revealing verse. Simon was not allowed to follow Jesus at all! So now we see why this book is coded only for those who are seeking God's truth.

The writer is telling us that Simon was the betrayer of Jesus folks and Jesus wanted nothing to do with Simon at this time. Now again Simon sees through Jesus' deception and knows Jesus has learned of Peter's collusion with the corrupt High priest. This leads a desperate Simon to say something strange.

  • ...I will lay down my life for you.”
As you can see, if Jesus leaves this room without Simon, how on earth will the soldiers find and capture Jesus? How will Simon finally get his reward money?

At this point, Jesus falls out of character and looses his proverbial "poker-face." Instead of playing it cool with Simon, Jesus exposes him for the lying snake and betrayer he really is!

  • JOHN 13:38 Then Jesus answered, “Will you really lay down your life for me? Very truly I tell you, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times!
 There's an old saying:

"If a man lies, he will steal. If a man steals, he will also kill!"

Jesus openly rebuked Simon Peter and didn't hold any punches either!
Just like in the movie the Godfather, when Michael Corleone reveals to Fredo that He knew it was him that betrayed him, Jesus also did the same to Simon!

So as you can see, Simon knew the truth about Jesus and Jesus knew the truth about Simon's deception.as well.

Jesus knows that the soldiers and the men sent by the high Priests are looking for Him and He does not want to die.

However Jesus knew he could only escape during nightfall. Jesus decided to go to a safe haven and pray for deliverance before the soldiers can overtake them.

But with Simon now knowing of Jesus' plans to escape. How can he let Peter leave?

So has to pretend that he is wrong about Peter and is okay.

So with Judas gone with the money bag to pay for their safe passages out of Jerusalem, Jesus, James John and the Disciple that Jesus loved and Simon too, All head to the Garden of Gethsemane until Judas can secure their way out of town.

Jesus prays for God's help to escape persecution!

As we continue, Jesus has arrived in his secret hideout in the Garden of Gethsemane. Maybe Simon Peter will have a change of heart and won't betray Jesus. Or Maybe Simon already had a plan to alert the soldiers where they would be.

Jesus decided to take PETER along with Him as a guard and lookout while He goes and prays. What a big mistake! Peter can't even do that right and goes to sleep, maybe because he already knows what is about to happen:

·         And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto PETER, What, could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the FLESH IS WEAK. MATTHEW 26:40-41

What does Jesus mean when He tells Peter to pray that he enters not into Temptation?

Is Jesus talking about the Temptation of going to sleep

No, Jesus is talking about another temptation that most Christians are not aware of.

Now Jesus just warned us earlier that Peter does not savor or like doing true ministry or the other things of God.
He says that Peter savors the things of MAN. Things such as

Power, Notoriety, Respect,

And, for Peter the greatest of these things of Man, MONEY! Perhaps even:

“Thirty pieces of SILVER?!!”

Jesus goes and prays two more times and each time Jesus comes and finds Peter sleeping comfortably.

Just as Jesus comes to wake them up, suddenly the soldiers are upon them!

It is right after the soldiers come that we are told that Judas betrays Jesus with an alleged kiss.

Read all four gospel stories. You will see that they can’t even agree if Judas kissed Jesus or not.

What ever happened we know that the soldiers took Jesus into custody and all of the Disciples fled for their lives!

Pay close attention to what happens next:

·         Then Simon Peter having a sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. JOHN 18:10

People of God I have a question that needs to really be asked at this point:

(PERSONAL NOTE) If Peter really cut the ear off the high priest’s servant or soldier why wasn’t he KILLED or even ARRESTED? Of course he would!

If you were a soldier and someone attacked one of your companions wouldn’t you do something??? I know I would. Apparently Peter was too valuable to the cause and was above reproach. Hmm Interesting…

Now since we are told that Judas is the alleged betrayer of Jesus it would be natural to assume that he returned with the soldiers right?

However the strangest unexpected thing happened next.

The bible says that Peter goes with Jesus or possibly he goes with the Soldiers and the Men of the High Priest back to the judgment hall and guess what happens? Peter literally:
SITS WITH the SOLDIERS!

·         And they that had laid hold on Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. But Peter followed him afar off unto the high priest's palace, and WENT IN, and SAT WITH the SERVANTS to SEE THE END. MATTHEW 26:57-58

Wait a minute!? YIKES! Did the scriptures just say what I think it said?

Surely something must be wrong with my eyes right?

The bible says that Peter actually went inside the high priest’s palace and sat all the way through the trial until it was over!

That is the most unbelievable thing that I have ever discovered in the bible!

Does this make any sense to you?

This is the kind of information that you will never hear in your own churches! Peter is in total cahoots with the High Priest!

Say it isn’t so Peter? Say it isn’t so!

Think about it, all of the other Disciples, James, Jesus' own brother included, ran fearing for their lives because anyone associated with Jesus would have been arrested and/or killed with Him.

01.) So did Peter have a giant “S” on his chest?

02.) Was Peter the “Super Disciple?”

No, and now we can understand why Peter didn't escape like the other Disciples. He was the one that was bribed by the High Counsel and not Judas!

You and I all know that no one with a price on their heads would even consider going inside the high priest’s palace or actually sitting inside the temple with the servants of the High Priest!

John 18 adds a little more information to the story than Matthew does.

As Jesus is led into the prison chambers to await His mock trial, Peter decides to visit a few old friends.

Peter goes outside and warms himself by the fire not only with the other servants but also with the OFFICERS/SOLDIERS of the High Council!

·         And the servants and officers stood there, who had made a fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and PETER STOOD WITH THEM and warmed himself. JOHN 18:18

So as we can see Peter has NO FEAR at all!

Peter feels like he has found a true home among his new friends. Peter is finally getting the respect and attention that he feels he deserves.

Everyone is celebrating the capture of this alleged criminal Jesus and Peter celebrates right along with them around the fire.

Nothing can bring Peter down off this emotion high that he is feeling, right? Wrong! Someone recognizes Peter!

·         Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.  But HE DENIED BEFORE THEM ALL saying, I know not what thou sayest. MATTHEW 26:69-70

Whew! That was close!

A damsel thinks she knows Peter. She confronts Peter in front of his new buddies. Peter successfully convinces her that she is wrong. Peter was almost discovered!
However, it is not over Peter:
·         And when he was gone out into the porch, another maid saw him, and said unto them that were there, this fellow was also with Jesus of Nazareth.  And again HE DENIED with AN OATH, I do NOT KNOW the man. MATTHEW 26:71-72

Whew! Another close call!

Another woman recognizes Peter and the Soldiers are probably getting pretty suspicious. So Peter reassures the woman by swearing that He has never met this Jesus character.

Peter probably doesn’t need the heat from that old fire now! I’m sure his temperature is quite elevated now, what do you think?
Surely this has to be the last person to recognize Peter, right? Wrong!

·          And after a while came unto him they that stood by, and said to Peter, Surely thou also art one of them; for thy speech betrayeth thee. Then began he to CURSE and to SWEAR, saying, I KNOW NOT the man. And immediately the cock crew. And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly. MATTHEW 26:73-75

Now Luke gives us another revealing piece of information about Peter’s denial. Apparently at some point Jesus and Peter are very close to each other. Look at what Luke says happened once Peter denied Jesus the last time:

·         And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he said unto him, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And Peter went out, and wept bitterly. Luke 22:61-62

Again, look at this strange event folks: and ask yourself:

  • all of the other Disciples are in hiding for their lives except Peter is allowed inside the temple? How can this be seeing that this is a secretive and closed session?

Yet clearly we see that SIMON PETER, and NOT JUDAS, is the only Disciple allowed into the courtroom with nothing to fear at all folks!

Peter is allowed to sit close enough to the proceedings that he can not only hear what is going on, but Peter can also look directly into the EYES of Jesus.

I guess even in a kangaroo court like this one, the accused is still allowed to look into the eyes of the accuser!

This scripture is very illuminating! We can see that Jesus was able to see His betrayer’s face up close!

Now Jesus has no choice but to finally accept the truth. One of His closest friends has betrayed Him.

Peter cannot be saved from himself.

This is why Jesus gives Peter a look of either disgust or sadness

With all of this information it is very hard not to see why the Catholic scribes would not want us to uncover this truth about Peter.

You and I know that Judas is not the one who accepts the money from the High Priest. It was Peter;

Judas is innocent of all charges…

Are you excited now? You should be because you are finally seeing the truth that has been hidden for over two thousand years.

Notice first that Peter didn't run away as the other Disciples had. Peter sat inside the Palace with the other servants of the High Priest until the hearing was over!

Was Peter really that brave knowing that at any moment he too could be on trial with Jesus?

No, Peter wasn’t brave at all.

Peter sits because He is the ONE who had just betrayed Jesus to the High Council and had no reason to fear them!

Now this is when Peter fulfills Jesus’ prophecy about him.

When the first lady asks Peter if He was one of Jesus’ Disciples, Peter testifies and says the first time:

"I KNOW NOT WHAT THOU SAYEST!"

When another lady asks Peter the same question an hour later Peter again denies Jesus and says:
"I SWEAR!! I DO NOT (KNOW) THE MAN!"

Inside the chambers Peter is confronted in front of Jesus and asked a third time if he is one of Jesus Disciples. Peter gets angry and starts to satanically swear up to heaven and Peter starts using profanity and cursing like a sailor and says:

 "#! @#%#!!" I SWEAR!! I (KNOW) NOT THE MAN!"

Wow! Such vulgar language and all of this from the alleged first Pope of the Catholic Church!? Amazing isn’t it?

As you can see Peter was not lying! For Peter really did not know Jesus or the true Purpose for Jesus' Ministry.

Since Peter’s heart was not Godly, it was easy for the High Priests to bribe Him with Power and Money.

Jesus either didn’t want to give up on Peter or had to keep Peter around to do the will of God. Either way we can no longer deny the fact that Jesus did give us numerous warnings about Peter’s true character.

Now due to lack of time in a blog, I can only skim over this information with you. However if you want an exciting and compelling step by step unfolding of these events that the Vatican allegedly his from us. Then you have to read the exciting book called:

JESUS: THE RISE OF THE NAZARENE:

Jesus has been killed by the Romans and Peter’s betrayal is completed.

Or is it

In the next chapter Horror comes to Peter as he finds out that:

 Jesus lives

PART I. SIMON PETER!:THE "TRUE" BETRAYER OF JESUS IS REVEALED!"

My Brothers and Sisters, In our last two chapters we showed you proof why Judas already had total control of all of the money and goods that were donated to Jesus, so he had absolutely no motive to betray Jesus at all. If you missed those posts click on the link below and read that before reading this one!
http://derrickbowdown2yhwh.blogspot.com/2015/06/part-i-biblical-proof-that-judas-was.html

Now folks, I have never read anything on the subject that I am about to reveal to you.  Most of us will choose to disregard this information as speculative nonsense.

However there will be some of you, the "open-minded," who after reading and researching the verses in this document, will receive a spiritual illumination and fire that no one will ever be able to extinguish again.

For approximately two thousand years the New Testament writers have led us to believe that JUDAS ISCARIOT was the betrayer of Jesus.

We accepted that answer because there didn’t seemed to be any valid reason to question that statement until now! If you have read my book from the beginning I’m sure you are questioning many things that you have been told by your ministers concerning the true gospel. After careful study of the biblical scriptures in context, I have reason to believe that Judas never betrayed Jesus at all.

I believe Judas was used as the scapegoat by the Roman Catholic Church to cover up the real betrayer of Jesus and to justify the office of the Papacy. So if Judas didn’t betray Jesus who could it be? The betrayer of Jesus will probably shock you! I believe the betrayer of Jesus was one of his best friends. I believe the true betrayer of Jesus was none other than Simon Peter! Catholics proclaim that Peter was the First POPE ordained by Jesus himself.

My Brothers and Sisters as we shall see, this was a satanic lie allegedly perpetuated by Rome. Their purpose was to deny the truth so that they alone could interpret the Bible, fill the church coffers and lead the people on a direct road to HELL.
So let’s start our step by step investigation to see if the bible reveals who the betrayer of Jesus really was…

Now we all know that Peter was one of Jesus’ original student Disciples in the ministry. Peter and Jesus’ relationship wasn’t just a ministerial student/teacher type of relationship. Jesus and Peter eventually became good friends and were as close as brothers. Wherever Jesus went Peter was usually somewhere close by His side. Now when did Peter start following Jesus in the ministry and how did this friendship initially start?

THE MEETING:

The four gospels give very conflicting stories of how Jesus and Peter first met each other and also conflicting stories on how Jesus met some of the other Disciples as well.
Matthew 4:18, Mark 1:16 & Luke 5:2 tell us that Jesus was the one who went down to the Sea of Galilee looking for disciples to follow Him.

However John 1:35-42 contradicts those stories and says that the Disciples were the ones who went looking for Jesus and went and stayed at Jesus’ house with Him for the whole day.

In the first three gospels the Disciples believed Jesus because of the miracles Jesus performed on the boats.

However the book of John says that the Disciples sought Jesus because of the words of their original teacher, John the Baptist.

After John the Baptist is alleged to have proclaimed Jesus as the Son of God, Andrew and Peter supposedly became followers of Jesus’ ministry. Conflicting stories to say the least…

Yes, the New Testament gospels do tell us that Jesus was the Messiah, but when was this information first discovered and by who? When did these Disciples determine that Jesus was the Messiah?

·         One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, we have found the Messiah, which is, being interpreted the Christ. JOHN 1:41

So the book of John says that Andrew and Peter learned that Jesus was the Messiah from their original mentor, John the Baptist. This statement once again leads to more conflicting statements.

  • Did John the Baptist proclaim Jesus was the Messiah? Let’s read the book of John:

  • The next day JOHN seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, “BEHOLD the Lamb of God which TAKETH AWAY the SIN of the WORLD THIS IS “HE” whom I SAID, after me cometh a man which is preferred before me, for he was before me.” JOHN 1: 29, 30
So after reading the above verse it does seem like John the Baptist is verifying that Jesus is the Messiah.

However, the book of Luke contradicts the above scriptures of John:

  •  “And the disciples of JOHN shewed him of all these things. And JOHNcalling unto him two of his disciples sent them to Jesus, saying, art thou “HE” that should come?
  • Or LOOK FOR ANOTHER?” When the men were come unto him, they said, John Baptist hath sent us unto thee, saying, Art thou he that should come? Or look we for another?” LUKE 7:18-20
Wow! What a major contradiction

What have we just learned from these two verses?

1.    John the Baptist had never personally met Jesus before unless Jesus was one of the hundreds of people who came to him to be baptized.
2.    Did you notice that John the Baptist’s knowledge of Jesus came from rumors only after he went to jail? (See Luke 7:17, 18)
3.    John the Baptist never told Peter and Andrew that Jesus was the prophesied Messiah!
It seems to me that someone is purposely trying to invent scenarios for Jesus to fulfill.

As you can see from Luke’s gospel, John the Baptists’ disciples did not follow Jesus based on his recommendation.

If these disciples thought Jesus was the Messiah it would have been their own decision. I believe Andrew or Peter or possibly both are the culprits who initially started the rumors that Jesus was the Messiah.

The legend of Jesus was starting to grow and Jesus’ notoriety was beginning to reach celebrity status.

Wherever Jesus traveled massive crowds seemed to overflow. Being a simple Nazarene prophet, Jesus is confused by the sudden attention He is receiving. When Jesus arrives at Caesarea Philippi, once again there is another massive crowd waiting for His arrival. Now Jesus knows something peculiar is going on. So Jesus decides to question His Disciples and find out what is really going on:

  •  When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, whom do men say that I the Son of Man am?" MATTHEW 16:13

Seeing the anticipation in the eyes of the people at Caesarea, Jesus wanted to know who all the people were, and why so many people are in attendance. Jesus probably could hear the cheers and adoration from the people.

Jesus knows that kings and other important dignitaries are the ones who would normally receive this sort of treatment. Jesus realizes that these people are literally praising Him instead of God.
So Jesus turns to His Disciples and asks:

  • "Who do these people think I, the SON of a MAN really am?”

Did you notice how Jesus made a clear and humble distinction to the Disciples that He was nothing more than a mere son of a “MAN?” or simply the son of Mankind like the Hebrew name Adams or Ada'wms always meant in the bible before the story was turned into a singular man's name..

Think about it for a moment and let it sink in.  Now let’s get back to our subject.

So Jesus asks the Disciples who the people think He is:

·         And they said, some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets. MATTHEW 16:14

The Disciples inform Jesus that some of the people think that He may be the second coming of John the Baptist or Elijah or even Jeremiah.

Now these are three of the most renowned and respected of the Hebrew prophets.

For Jesus to be placed on such a high regard as these three great men is really an honor.

However Jesus wants to know where these people could have possibly heard such ridiculous nonsense as this.

After careful consideration there can only be one possible answer to why the people might believe something like this. Jesus believes one of His own Disciples may have told the people that He is the Messiah without his permission.

So Jesus turns to His Disciples and asks them a very important and crucial question:

  • He saith unto them, But WHOM say YE (Disciples) that I AM? MATTHEW 16:15

Well there it is!

Jesus asks the question directly to the Disciples. Jesus needs to know if they are responsible for all of the crowd’s speculation.

Now the scriptures tell us that only one voice steps forward to give this crucial answer that will be heard and professed around the Christian world for generations to come!

  •   And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.  MATTHEW 16:16

So as you can see, Simon Peter was the only one who stepped up and admits that it is he that believes Jesus was the messiah. Which now lets Jesus know that Simon is the one responsible for the frenzy of the crowds.

  • Peter was the one who told the crowds that Jesus was more than just the son of a man.

Peter goes much farther and tells the people that Jesus was both the literal Son of God and that He is also the long awaited Messiah! Amazing, isn’t it?

  • So what do you think Jesus’ response would have been to Peter’s answer?

Well that depends on which gospel you choose to believe.

Remember earlier I told you about the conspiracy of the Roman Catholic Church. I mentioned how the church suppressed the truth about the character of Simon Peter to justify the office of the Pope

Peter was said to have been the first official beholder of the office of the Pope, a position that has been coveted by the Catholic churches ever since.

I believe Matthew 16:17-18 were later added by the church to make us believe that Jesus was handing the leadership control of His church over to Peter after His death.

Now the first gospel written was the book of Mark

In the book of Mark the lie that Peter is the so-called Rock of the church is not added to the scriptures at all!

Furthermore, if you look back and  read Matthew 16:17-18, those two verses seem very out of place when you see the final words of Jesus in verse 20 where He tells Peter and the Disciples not to tell anyone that he is the Messiah.

So that both gospels will be totally identical, let’s eliminate verses 17 and 18 added by the Roman Catholic in Matthew:

  • He saith unto them, But WHOM say YE that I AM? MATTHEW 16:15

Peter’s bold response to Jesus was:

  •   And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.  MATTHEW 16:16

So again we see that Peter has no shame at all.

Peter tells Jesus and the other Disciples that He thinks that Jesus may be the long awaited prophesied Messiah of the Jews.

Now my Brothers and Sisters, after reading this is context, you have to conclude the following:

  • Up to the point when Jesus asked the question in Matthew 16:15, Jesus never taught the Disciples that He was actually the prophesied Messiah period!

If Jesus would have taught the Disciples that He was the messiah then His question to them would be totally pointless

Jesus never told Peter or any Disciple that He was the messiah. This is why Jesus was so confused about all of the attention from the crowds.

Now I would have loved to see the face of the other Disciples after Peter admitted that he was responsible for spreading the rumors that Jesus was the messiah.

So what do you think Jesus’ real response was once He found out that Peter was the one responsible for spreading the rumors that He was the Messiah? Let’s see:

  • Then CHARGED he (Jesus) His DISCIPLES that they should tell NO MAN that HE was Jesus the MESSIAH. MATTHEW 16:20

Wow! The truth finally comes forth! After Peter makes His asinine proclamation.

Jesus turns to Peter and the rest of the Disciples and rebukes and scolds them for spreading such blasphemous lies to the people!

DID YOU GET THAT FOLKS? Jesus didn't just say,

  • "HEY GUYS, YOU are CORRECT I AM the Messiah?"
No, no, no! The bible says that Jesus gave His Disciples a:

 DIRECT ORDER/COMMANDMENT/CHARGE/INSTRUCTIONS/RESTRICTION!!!

...that they were never, to tell any man, woman or child the LIE that He was the prophesied Messiah ever again! Wow! This is incredible!

The gospel of Mark also confirms this point as well!

·         …and PETER answereth and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ. And HE (JESUS) CHARGED them that they should tell NO MAN of Him. MARK 8:29, 30

Despite what you have learned in your churches the bible seems to tell a different story than what you have heard before!

As you can see, Jesus is not the Messiah as we have been told. Now let me repeat that again! Straight from Jesus’ own mouth,

He admits that He was not the Messiah!!!

Wow! Now don’t argue with me! I am not making this up!

You have just read two verses straight from the mouth of Jesus that I’m sure the Greco-Roman Churches wished they would have edited out of the bible now!

Both Matthew and Mark’s gospels tell us that not only does Jesus deny being the awaited Messiah, but He also gave His Disciples a direct order or commandment for them to never repeat this nonsense ever again! Yes you heard the scripture correctly!

Jesus ordered Peter and any of the other Disciples to never tell the people that He is a Messiah.

Now you know the truth! However, when you go back to your churches and attempt to teach this truth, the people are going to call you unsaved or even a devil. Your minister or pastors will try to pacify you with ridiculous rhetoric such as:

“Jesus was not prohibiting the Disciples from teaching the people that He was the Messiah forever. Jesus wanted to temporarily silence the Disciples’ rumors until after He had finished His ministry on earth.”  Ridiculous Church Dogma 101

I’m sure that you will agree with me that this has to be one of the silliest answers you have ever heard!

I’m sorry, Jesus’ words are very clear.

He is not the messiah; so says Jesus! Amen!

Now that we have learned the truth about who Jesus really was, we have to now ask the important question:

  • Why would Peter make up something like this and Why would Peter attempt to stir up the emotion of the people by telling them that Jesus was the Messiah?

A quick history lesson:

Remember the Jews were being oppressed by the Roman Empire. Everyone assumed that John the Baptist was the long awaited Messiah because of the fire of his anointed words. (See John 1:19-25).

Peter also thought that his original teacher, John the Baptist, was the Messiah as well.

All of those plans went up in smoke after John was imprisoned and beheaded!

Someone had to take John the Baptist’s place as a messianic champion to rally the people against Rome.

After Jesus arrives on the scene preaching the same message as John, Peter decided that Jesus could be the one that could assemble the people to revolt against the Roman Empire as the Jewish conquering Messiah. Now you know the historical background.

So let’s return to Peter:

As you can see Peter had a vested interest in following Jesus’ ministry.

To Peter, Jesus has the potential to be an untapped goldmine both spiritually and financially to the right person who could mold Jesus into the proper political candidate.

Sounds good, right

Peter has a plan but unfortunately for Peter Jesus had a different agenda.

  • From that time forth began Jesus to show unto his Disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. MATTHEW 16:21

Can you imagine the look on Peter’s face when Jesus informs the Disciples of His own plans in Jerusalem?
This knowledge lights a fire of rage in Peter’s heart!

Jesus knew that by going to Jerusalem He may face certain death just like the other prophets who also attempted to teach the people how to repent and turn back to their heavenly Father YHWH.

Jesus’ plan was to do God’s will and teach the people to humbly turn back to God.

This goes against Peter’s plans and this starts the beginning of Peter’s hatred for Jesus and the ministry!

Peter feels that he can change Jesus’ mind. Peter applies the pressure screws to Jesus:

·         Then Peter took him (Jesus) and began to rebuke him, saying be it far from thee, Lord: this shall be unto thee. MATTHEW 16:22

Can you believe the nerve of Peter? Peter thinks he has the right to scold and rebuke Jesus. Huh?

Peter knows that Jesus is his future meal ticket, so Peter angrily decides he will rebuke Jesus for speaking such foolishness!

Because Peter has so much anger and rage inside of him Jesus can now see the true character and hidden agendas of Peter now!

Jesus realizes that Peter had another motive for following Him.

After Peter’s true nature is exposed, Jesus stops Peter’s rant and counter-attacks Peter with the truth! Jesus lets us know that Peter’s true motive was PERSONAL GAIN:

  • But He turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, SATAN: thou (Peter) art an OFFENCE unto me: for thou (Peter) savourest not the things that be of GOD, but those that be of MEN. MATTHEW 16:23

Jesus became so angry with Peter’s messiah rumors and greed that He decided to scold Peter in front of all of the other Disciples! Jesus calls Peter by his true name, Satan which means: the Adversary.

Jesus realized from Peter’s actions that Peter was an OFFENSIVE to Him and to GOD!

Does Peter still sound like the ROCK that Jesus was to build His Church upon?

Heck no!

Since Christians believe in “demon possession” we have to also ask:

“Was Jesus rebuking the Devil that entered Peter?”

No, Jesus was not speaking to another demon entity.

Jesus was speaking directly to Peter and calling him Satan because Peter’s heart was not pure.

Peter’s mind and heart were focused only on his own financial desires.

Jesus told Peter that he was not following Him because he had a desire to be a soul winner for God’s kingdom. Jesus says that Peter desires are selfish in nature.

Peter wanted the materialistic goods that men have. So what material things of men do you think Peter desired? Yes you guessed it, Peter wanted:

POWER, NOTORIETY, , RESPECT and large amounts of MONEY

These are the things that Peter desired most.Simon had Greed in his heart and Jesus knew it.

Now after rebuking Peter, Jesus turns and warns the other Disciples and followers NOT to become like Peter.

Jesus teaches them that true followers of God must deny themselves, learn the truth and follow His example.

Jesus says in Mathew 16:25 that whosoever will save his OWN life shall lose it and who ever will lose his life shall find eternal life!

Now Jesus again preaches a major topic that shows us that Peter was not a true Disciple.

01.) Did Peter follow the last part of the teaching of Jesus and DENY himself? NO!

02.) Did Peter SAVE his own Life? YES HE DID!

Before we continue let’s recap what we have learned so far:

a.     Jesus denies being the Messiah and gives a strict COMMANDMENTto the Disciples to NEVER tell anyone that lie again. MATTHEW 16:16 & MARK 8:29, 30
b.    Jesus then gives a premonition of Peter’s betrayal: MATTHEW 16:21
c.     Jesus rebukes Peter in front of everyone and says Peter is being a hindrance to His ministry of Yahweh. MATTHEW 16:23
d.    Jesus calls Peter SATAN which means adversary. Or OPPOSER! MATTHEW 16:23
e.     Jesus boldly says Peter is following Him for the wrong reasons and that He is not really seeking Yahweh’s kingdom, only power and notoriety. MATTHEW 16:23
f.      Jesus tells all of the Disciples and followers that if they are to follow His ministry they must not be selfish and deny themselves unlike Peter. MATTHEW 16:24

What does an adversary do? He opposes the actions of others.

If you are doing good things the adversary wants you to do the bad ones.

If you are attempting to free others from spiritual bondage as Jesus was, then Peter, who Jesus calls Satan, would have to oppose you to the highest regard and limit your ministry.

Jesus continues using Peter as his example of what not to do in the ministry. I’m sure at this point Peter’s blood is boiling! Peter is outraged at Jesus! Now folks ask yourself:

Knowing how middle Eastern cultures make such a big deal over dishonor and respect How do you think Simon is feeling at Jesus' embarrassing him in front of others hmm?

Can you imagine what is on Peter’s mind now?

“After all that I have done for Jesus, He has the nerve to embarrass me in front of the other Disciples and call me a devil?” I made you Jesus and I can BREAK you too!

WHICH DISCIPLE HAD: MEANS MOTIVE & OPPORTUNITY?

Peter is probably thinking that he is the one responsible for Jesus’ popularity.

Not only did Jesus foil Peter’s plan for world domination but Jesus also embarrasses Peter in front of all of the other Disciples as well! Lastly after Jesus rebukes Peter for following Him for money and power, Jesus turns to the other Disciples and says the following:

  • For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? 37. Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul.  MATTHEW 16:26 & MARK 8:36-37

Notice how Jesus, after rebuking Peter, continues teaching the people the truth about the betrayer without having to even say Peter’s name. Jesus asks:

What will a man give in exchange for His soul?

Maybe He should ask Peter what he will ACCEPT in exchange for his soul as well.

The very next verse shows more light on whom Jesus is clearly speaking about:

  • WHOSOEVER therefore shall be ASHAMED of me and of MY WORDS in this adulterous and sinful generation; of HIM shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. MARK 8:38

Does this verse fit Peter perfectly? Yes it does!

Jesus gave the other Disciples a "prophetic" warning in advance about the person who will be ashamed of Him and His Ministry of Yahweh.

Jesus speaks openly about His betrayer and also directly to His betrayer.

Apparently Peter does not understand the message and decides to try his Grandstanding tactics once again.

Jesus quickly shuts Peter’s mouth harshly!

  • PETER answered and said unto him, though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.  MATTHEW 26:33

Wow! How noble of Peter to be willing to stand up and acknowledge that He stands with Jesus with pride before all men. Yeah right/ Peter is so gallant isn't he?

He makes a promise to Jesus and says He will never be embarrassed by Jesus or his ministry.

Jesus knows a con man when He hears one and He knows Peter is full of crap! So again Jesus rebukes Peter/Satan and says he is a liar!

  •  Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, (Peter) that this night, before the cock crows, thou shalt DENY ME THRICE. MATTHEW 26:34

Jesus tells Peter that He will be the FIRST to deny him.

Jesus has just again embarrassed Peter in front of the rest of the Disciples.

Peter tells Jesus in a stronger voice that he is willing to die for Jesus and will never deny Him!

Jesus knew better and says that He will not have to wait long for Peter's betrayal because Peter was going to deny Jesus that VERY NIGHT!

Now Luke tells the same exact story as Matthew but elaborates further about the Character of Peter. Let’s read the scriptures that lead up to Peter denying Jesus three times:

·         And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, SATAN hath desired to have HAVE YOU, that he may sift you as wheat:

But I have prayed for thee, that thy (FAITH) FAIL NOT: and when THOU art CONVERTED, strengthen thy brethren. LUKE 22:31, 32

Jesus again gives a "prophetic" warning about the character of Peter. Jesus knew the heart of Peter and points this out to him.

Remember earlier Jesus told Peter that he didn’t desire the kingdom of God. Jesus said that Peter desired the riches and power of men.

Jesus makes it clear to Peter that Satan also knows Peter's true heart and wants to use Peter to do his evil work. Jesus uses the term:

Sift you as wheat.

Jesus says:
PETER, I have prayed for you that your faith in God does not fail.”
When you are finally converted strengthen your brethren.”

There is an old saying that goes:

Keep your friends close but keep your Enemies even CLOSER!”

Jesus didn’t want to give up on His friend Peter even though He knew the evil in Peter’s heart.

Jesus, anticipating that God will eventually hear His prayers, says to Peter:

“When you finally submit yourself to the will of Yahweh and are finally CONVERTED, strengthen your brethren.”

As you see by Jesus’ own statement, Peter was not a Converted follower of His.

Peter followed Jesus for the notoriety that came with being associated with Jesus.

Mark 9:33, 34, tells us that some of the Disciples started arguing about which of them is the GREATEST of the Disciples.

When Jesus wants to know what all the commotion is about they are quiet.

Now as outspoken as Peter has been throughout the scriptures and since Jesus told us that Peter desires vain notoriety and the vain things of man, we know that he is involved in the debate.

Remember earlier Jesus told us that Peter needed to be CONVERTED:

  • And said, Verily I say unto you, except ye be CONVERTED, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. MATTHEW 18:3

·         And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, if any man desire to be FIRST, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all. MARK 9:35

Jesus makes it clear to the arguing Disciples that except you be CONVERTED, and show the humility as a child, you will never enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.

It sounds like someone needs a spiritual conversion huh? I wonder which Disciple that could be hmmm?

Jesus also tells the Disciples that if any one of them has a desire for Power and Notoriety then they would be the last of all to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Now we all know which Disciple desired power and notoriety don’t we?

  • Peter!

Jesus told us that power and notoriety were the most important things that Peter craved most of all!

Peter has had enough! Peter sets satanic events in motion that will impact the world for more than two thousand years! The LIE that JUDAS is the betrayer of Jesus!
